For a major part of 2009, Nadya Suleman was famous but controversy laced her story as she gained popularity for having delivered octuplets despite having six children and being unemployed.

1 Nadya gained media popularity and became famous

Nadya capitalized on the media attention and became famous after appearing on the Oprah Winfrey show. She was also the subject of a documentary named “Octomom: The incredible unseen footage”.

However Nadya’s popularity soon withered and life became a problem as providing for 14 kids was no easy task.

2 Life became difficult

Nadya unfortunately chose the wrong path taking to adult movies to make ends meet. She soon realized it was wrong and would not be setting a good example for her kids.

“There was definitely a catalyst — my girls, particularly my oldest daughter Amerah. She was about 10, and she started integrating my traits and behaviors,” she says. “After I had observed my daughter beginning to emulate me, I saw her going down that same potentially destructive path, and I realized at that moment I’d rather be homeless in my van with all 14 kids than continuing down this path. It was not what I wanted for my children.”

3 Nadya decided to transform herself and she looks just as great

Nadya along with her 14 kids moved to Orange County, California to make a fresh start. That was three years ago. She presently works as a family therapy counselor and is extremely happy about it as she is passionate about the work.

4 Nadya is happy about her life

I was alive again,” she says. “As ‘Octomom,’ I was the walking dead. When I woke up and I went back to my roots, my helping profession, and my kids, we were struggling financially but it didn’t matter. I never felt so free and so happy in my life.”

5 On the right path and a wonderful mom
