5 Be punctual

Punctuality is something that shows that you as a person are organized and know how to manage your time. When someone asks you to be present for a meeting or interview at a certain time, it is better to reach the place atleast 15 mins early in order to be present when the person in question comes out to meet you. In case, you are stuck in traffic or some problem, it is polite to give a call to your contact and let them know and apologize for the delay.

6 Don’t drink too much

Office parties are a great thing to unwind and get to know your colleagues and seniors in an informal setting. But one mistake like making an off color joke or drinking too much in the gathering and losing your bearings can make you lose your respect amongst your peers and get you an bad image in the office.

7 Be polite always

One of the basic ways to be polite is to say a simple ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ whenever you are asking someone to do something for you. It is a favor and you should say please and a thank you after the work is done. Being polite not only goes a long way, it leaves a nice impression in other people’s minds.
