6 We love a good chatter at work

Since work can get pretty monotonous, we love a customer who loves chatting to us. We have got regulars who have been coming in for years and share every little detail of their lives with us.
This gives us insight in most of our customer’s lives and lots of gossip material. But sometimes the evidence of too much information makes us uncomfortable.
7 We all have a favorite client that we love

All of us have that one favorite client that is so impressed with our work that she waits for us and only books us for salon sessions. Also such regulars tip well.
They like the personal attention that we shower on them and all the advice and gossip we do, which makes them feel special. Even we wait for that customer because of the tips we get.

8 Getting any breaks while on shift is hard work

Hair dressing is a job which has no particular season in which customers increase. There is a constant incoming and outgoing of customers and sometimes we get so busy, it is even difficult for us to get a bite in or have some coffee.
Even a 15-minute break is sometimes difficult when you have a demanding customer who wants everything just perfect. But we power through it because of professional courtesy and tips. We can’t ask the lady to wait with half her head shampooed and half head wet, so that we can have our sandwich and coffee.
